Ms. Lutz's 1st and 2nd grade English as a New Language class completed a unit on family. Throughout the unit, students learned about what makes a family, connected to the idea that family can take many shapes and sizes, and also worked on how to help our families and others. At the end of the unit, the students created a "sharing" bags to fill with food for families in need. The students shared a presentation with Mrs. Morgan and Mrs. Schneider about why it is important to help others, then the class reached out to Mrs. Rossi's Life Skills at the High School for help. The Life Skills class brought the sharing bags to the Ghent Food Pantry. Thank you to all who help our students succeed!
